This 1959 handbag was created by Delvaux's Madame Hallez to celebrate the mariage of the then Queen Paola and King Albert. The handbag - same as this version in black alligator leather was gifted to the queen. Original name is "mon grand bonheur", but we like it to call the double happiness bag, as it symbolised the union of the two members of the Belgian royal family.
This wonderful bag with beautiful outside appearance, is a real collector item and particularly hard to find in the black alligator porosus version as originally gifted to the queen.
