Designed for the Marine collection in 1958 and often forgotten in midst of the just designed "Brillant" handbag within the same year of the world exhibition, Marie Hallez confidently named this extraordinary bag the "Leadership".

With confident clean lines crafted in subtle box calf leather, its handles are still handcrafted in the ateliers. Leisurely, as if by chance, the box calf top handle is clasped in a knot of gilded brass, similar as many Belgian art nouveau building windows and doors are embraced by metal glass, wood and other structures. She is a masterpiece in close to impeccable condition - a true testament of Delvaux, the architect of handbags.

This bag, which also features in the Delvaux museum opens through a sophisticated side lock mechanism, ready to deter any yet so crafty pickpocket. Its simple lines of the handbag are there to elegantly dress you and put value to your outfit, similar as coco chanel imagined her dresses in the early 50s.
