This extraordinary top handle / over the shoulder bag was created by no other as Delvaux Brillant and Tempete bag architect Paule Goethals for the 1965 autumn-winter Pierre Precieuses collection.
Crafted of exquisite box calf leather, overstitched on its seams and an interior lined in red leather - this bag assumes pool position in timeless style and superior craftsmanship. It is a very elegant bag whose D-shaped handle further discreetly winks at its maker Delvaux. It carries the sparkly name of Diamond - Whilst Diamonds are of course a girl's best friend, the symbolism of this stone carries tremendous importance in Belgium - with the city of Antwerp being one of the Diamond capitals of the world - making this bag a true Belgian creation.
The interior of the bag opens up to a series of well groomed compartments, ensuring that you can carry all your essentials with ease, making it both stylish and practical. Whether for a special occasion or everyday use, this Delvaux handbag has it all and adds a touch of modern and vintage charm to any outfit. It is a true timeless and versatile addition to any wardrobe.
The overall condition for this now 60 year old bag is nothing less than impressive inside and out - speaking further for the high level of quality and craftsmanship that went into creating it. In this condition and especially in this classic rare limited black & red edition - this bag is an impossible find, a rare vintage piece not to be missed. Please see pictures.
