Delvaux Vintage Special Edition Crossbody Bag 1985
This Delvaux crossbody bag was part of the « coup de chapeau » collection of 1985. It features a characteristic « D » centre decoration, made of a collage of leather strips. The design of the bag, which stems from Madame Naiken, is Delvaux’s very first collaboration with Belgian Artist Madame Frédérique Hoet, who as an architect designed the transport pavillon for expo 1958 in Brussels and won an award for it. In her later life, the artist would create abstracts with leather remainders, which sparked a long-term collaboration with Delvaux.
The special edition pieces were numbered, and this one is piece no 147. It is a beautiful bag exuding real uniqueness, timeless elegance, and sophistication. Authenticity is guaranteed, as this bag has been authenticated by the DELVAUX flagship store in Brussels, Belgium.
