The Brillant "Chaperon Rouge" (the little red riding hood) is a transparent red vinyl version of the iconic le Brillant bag. This 2012 limited and special edition bag is a masterpiece of craftsmanship in a class of its own with vinyl pieces assembled, superimposed and them thermo-bonded to create a uniform shaped piece. Like the little red riding hood symbolising the first stirrings of individuation, Delvaux also re-invented itself here in a period of new growth and modernisation. Even though the period of vinyl and PVC bags was very short lived due to assure a more sustainable contribution to society, the ingenuity of the design and the flawless execution makes this bag a true collector item and this classic limited edition piece is not to be missed.
Very spacious inside, it has the additional positive of being fully equipped for Belgian weather - so that walking and singing in the rain with this bag becomes less of a puddle dance, but an act of class. It carries beautifully in hand and on the wrist. This particular limited piece comes with the original caring instruction booklet and its authenticity is guaranteed by Mydaydaybelgium. Its top handle has been restored to leather - overall condition is good with minor signs of usage on the vinyl.
