Upcycled Delvaux heritage Tote - 2025 limited Pouliche collection

At MyDayDayBelgium, we specialise in collectible and vintage Delvaux handbags — pieces that embody the heritage of Belgian luxury. Over the decades their collectible handbags were accompanied by an array of dustbags, each reflecting Delvaux’s evolving identity in time. Among the rarest and most beautiful ones are the original dustbags from the 1950s up to the 1970s, which were adorned with the horse & carriage, “carrosse”, logo that Franz Schwennicke officially defined as former label and brand identity in 1951. The label was a real symbol of elegance and for decades the carrosse on the original Delvaux dustbags, would protect their limited and iconic handbags - cherished by someone who valued beauty, refinement, and timeless design.

Some objects carry more than craftsmanship; they carry stories. Recognising their cultural and aesthetic value, we felt it to be a shame to let these historic handbag protectors to remain forgotten in a wardrobe. Hence we chose to give them a second life. At MyDayDayBelgium, we carefully upcycled original 1970s vintage Delvaux dustbags, preserving their authentic charm, texture, and emblem, whilst transforming them into a unique, contemporary handbag. Every one of our pieces honours the heritage of Belgium’s oldest luxury leather goods house. Each of our stitches are made with love in the Kingdom of Belgium and every fold reflects our commitment to sustainability, as well as our intention to carry the past into the present. Our upcycled original Delvaux dustbags, turned tote, are hence both a fashion accessory and a fragment of Belgian design history.

Handmade with love in Belgium into unique one of a kind pieces, we baptised our collection the "pouliche” collection. This makes analogy to our MyDayDayBelgium journey as the Pouliche - the “Filly” - represents a state of evolution. Very similar as evolving from a dustbag protecting its content, this bag now steps into an independent life of its own. Composition 100% leather, original Delvaux dustbag canvas and textile lining.
