This iconic Delvaux bag crafted in 1959 carries the beautiful name "Mon Grand Bonheur" - my great happiness - and was specially designed as lucky charm and gift of Delvaux for the occasion of the marriage of Queen Paola and Belgian King Albert II. 
The design of Madame Hallez puts demonstrate the architectural craftsmanship and quality all within one bag from the smallest and last stitch, over the structural bag shape, through to the maison's in house crafted and goldened hardware including also the little cloche key allowing to securely lock it. There is more than one reason the Mon Grand Bonheur handbag still features in the Delvaux museum today and is a well searched for rare collector bag. It carries beautifully in arm, elegantly in hand as top handle and for some leasurely as shoulder bag and remains incredibly versatile in terms of space.
In this cognac brown colour and this good condition it is also a particular difficult piece to source. This is one is a bag to hold on to forever.
