Vintage Delvaux top handle 1969 grey

Designed by Genevieve Deshayes for the 1969 autumn winter collection this Delvaux  shoulder - top handle bag, is a rare piece from a moment when the house was quietly redefining modern elegance becoming more than a handbag company rather an architect of leather. Crafted in luminous box calf leather - it is structured, intentional, and effortlessly discreet and carries elegantly over the shoulder. 

Its most intriguing detail lies in its side opening mechanism — a subtle, almost secret gesture that reveals the interior while keeping contents protected from pickpockets, travelling across the new Belgian tramway system.  A design not only elegant, but intelligently conceived for movement through the city.
